HERITAGE BAND HISTORY

The Heritage High School Band Boosters proudly support the award-winning band program of Heritage High School in Vancouver, WA. Our Wind Symphony recently earned the honor of performing at the esteemed 2019 Washington Music Educators Association State Conference. With approximately 150 students, the program serves a diverse range of talented individuals who showcase their musical prowess throughout the year. Our Pep Band brings the energy and enthusiasm, raising the volume at football games in the fall and Girls and Boys basketball games in the winter. Led by the exceptional directors, Mr. Cobb and Mr. Scamahorn, our program thrives with their expert guidance.

At Heritage High School, our band program benefits from the expertise and dedication of our music directors, Mr. Scamahorn and Mr. Cobb. With their guidance, our 150 students have the opportunity to receive a comprehensive music education. However, limited funding often hinders our ability to support essential activities, such as instrument repairs and transportation costs for community parades. This is why external support from boosters and charitable donations is crucial. Through your contributions, we can provide our students with invaluable experiences that would be otherwise inaccessible. One notable example is our yearly invitation to renowned musician and educator Patrick Sheridan, who conducts workshops with our students over a week.
